There are a few things that immediately tell me summer has arrived: longer days, sunshine, pool afternoons, beach trips, and those extreme heat warnings that remind us just how hot it can get. But when I think of summer, one meal always comes to mind, ceviche.
If you've never had ceviche before, you're missing one of the most refreshing dishes you can eat on a hot day.
Traditionally, ceviche is made by marinating fresh seafood in citrus juice, most commonly lime juic

TravelWhen people ask me about my favorite places I've traveled, Barranquilla is always at the top of my list. Not because it has the most beautiful beaches, although they are beautiful. Not because of the food, the music, or the colorful streets though those are unforgettable too.

I want to share my story and why I feel so strongly about the farmworker movement, why it matters to highlight their lives, and why the work of organizations like Student Action with Farmworkers and others across the nation is so important. If you have ever thought about s

Rooted LivingIt doesn’t quite feel like spring in Virginia yet. If anything, it still feels like fall. We had a glimpse of sunshine, but now the skies are gray again. Still, I’m holding onto optimism. I know the warmth and light will return soon. Something is comforting in that, knowing the shift is coming, even if it hasn’t fully arrived.
I’m already looking forward to the small rituals that come with it, bringing out my spring wardrobe, putting away the heaviness of winter, and stepping into something lig
